‘Sunflowers’, is a linocut printed using the reduction technique: multiple layers of colour are each cut and printed from the same block. Once the print is finished, much has been cut away for each layer, so the block can have very little surface remaining. Reduction prints are by their nature limited editions.
‘Sunflowers’ also has monoprinted elements which means each print in the edition is unique and will vary slightly.
